Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda is made up of a two major islands which holds majority of its's population. However there a few other smaller islands as well.  They are all part of the Leeward Islands chain Antigua being the biggest among them.  Antigua has the Atlantic ocean to one side of it and the Caribbean Sea on the opposite side that cause it to have clear water and very white sandy beaches. 
Antigua also known as Wadadli is 108 sq. miles with 365 beautiful beaches. Barbuda is much smaller with pink sand and majority of people lives in the capital Codrington.

Antigua Carnival

Antigua's Caribbean Carnival season also runs from late July to August just like Anguilla's Caribbean Festival does..  It's usually about 13 days of none stop fun. They have some similar events compared to other Caribbean Islands like Jouvert, Last Lap, Party Monarch, Costume (Mas Bands) Parade, Queen Show etc, but also other events not held in an other country. For example, Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show.  This is where all the beautiful ladies from various Caribbean countries battle for the title of Caribbean Queen. 


Soca Music Artist

Ricardo Drue 

Ricardo was born on July 31st, 1985 in Fort Road, Antigua. However at the age of only 4 years old, he moved to Cocoyea San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago where he spent many a years. He is presently living in Orlando, FL. 

Before Ricardo Drue was the big mega stare Soca Music artist he is today. He was a part of a music crew that went by the name "Crossovah". They opened for many other Soca artist such as, Allison Hinds, Destra Garcia, Patrice Roberts, Machel Montano and many more. They also opened for some Reggae music artist such as Red Rat, TOK etc.
In 2010 Drue left Crossovah to pursue his Soca Music solo career. His first 3 albums was Dream of my Reality and MYTIME. In 2014 he won Antigua's and Barbuda's Soca Monarch competition which of course was a big deal for him along with many other achievements he conquered in the short few years.

Ricardo Drue had a really big hit with the Soca tune Vegabond which made international Soca Music charts in 2014. After this he placed 2nd runner up in the International Groovy Soca Monarch which is held in Trinidad and Tobago every year. In 2015 he won Antigua & Barbuda Power Soca Monarch again. He then had a Groovy Soca Music hit with the Soca song Professional.

Ricardo presently have a beautiful little girl with superstar Soca Artist Patrice Roberts. He is touring all over the world and normally performs for Soca Music DJ International Stephen Caribbean Carnival ACE Weekend in Atlanta, GA that is held every Memorial Weekend in May.
