Anguilla is a British overseas territory and is the most northern island of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles. Anguilla is flat and considered to be a low-lying island. It is only 35 sq. miles, 16 miles long and 3 miles wide at the widest point. The highest point is Crocus Hill, at 65 meters.

Anguilla's Carnival which is also called Anguilla Summer Festival, main events always begins on the first Monday in August officially known as August Monday. This is Jouvert Morning and one the most looked forward to event of the season.
Parade day is usually the Friday of that same week. This is another event that attracts many crowds. Both to watch and to take part. This is when all the beautiful Carnival Bands display their feters win their colorful costumes.
Their are many other fetes that happens as well beginning from late July to early August. From more than one boat race to bandclash etc.
